Our rehearsal dinner was at the Backstage Event Center across from the Aronoff Theater on 6th street in downtown Cincinnati. It was a beautiful rustic space with delicious food. We served steak and chicken and had delicious bride and groom cakes from Bonbonniere Bakery (yum!). Our friends and family sat intermingled with each other to get to know each other better. After dinner and a few drinks, those closest to Tim and I shared memories of our childhood. Then Tim and I presented a slideshow of pictures from when we were kids to the day we met to the day Tim proposed.
It was wonderful to feel all of the love in the room and to help our families get to know each other through food, drink and memories. And drink they did! Tim and his crew started throwing back the traditional kamikaze shots and decided to bar hop. Of course I was feeling an onset of FOMO coming on, but tomorrow was the big day so I headed back to my mom's house to get a good night's rest. Needless to say, we had a couple of cases of hangovers the next day, but everyone rallied for the big wedding day!!! Even our DJ, who Tim saw out at the bars that night!
